Origin and Significance of Christmas
 
Christmas, is translated as "Christian Mass". It is a western traditional festival on  December 25 each year. Mass is a liturgy of the church. Christmas is a religious festival, because it is celebrated as the birthday of Jesus, named "Christmas".
In most of the Catholic churches, and in the 24th Christmas Eve, midnight Mass will be hold, and some christian churches celebrate christmas by carol，then celebrate Christmas on December 25. Another big branch of Christianity - the Orthodox celebrates Christmas in January 7 of the annual.

Christmas is also a public holiday in the Western world and in many other places, such as Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and Singapore in Asia. In the Constantine Era (313 AD), the Roman Church became accustomed to celebrating the birth of the Lord on December 25th.
 
Festive activities and diet
 
On Christmas, people give gifts to each other, such as Christmas card, Christmas stocking, Christmas hat, Christmas tree, Christmas window, Christmas ring. And they eat delicious food. Different foods in different countries such as turkey, trunk cake, almond pudding, gingerbread, seafood, glogi wine, beach feast, polenta, boiled meat in British, French, German, Finnish, American and African.
